Leather Bats

Wood Selection & Preparation

Kashmiri leather ball bats are made from durable Kashmir willow wood grown in the Kashmir Valley. The wood is cut into clefts, dried and seasoned to remove moisture, then graded based on grains, weight, and quality for strong leather-ball performance.

Bat Manufacturing Process

The clefts are machine-shaped and heavily pressed to strengthen the willow fibers and improve ping. Skilled craftsmen then hand-shape the bat, attach a full cane handle for shock absorption, sand the surface, apply grips, stickers, and protective oil coating.

Final Finishing & Performance

Before sale, the bat undergoes knocking-in and quality checks for balance, pickup, durability, and sweet spot performance. Kashmiri leather bats are popular because they are affordable, durable, powerful for hard-hitting shots, and ideal for beginners, club, and practice cricket.
